TRIPPY TRAIL is an adventure that pushes the limits of what's possible on foot. Set in rugged and stunningly beautiful terrain, this journey demands resilience, self-reliance and a passion for exploration.
It's a true test of endurance, with long hours on steep, technical and exposed alpine trails and, on the MEGADOSE, a night in the mountains. Runners must be prepared to face exhaustion and make crucial decisions in a demanding, unpredictable environment where self-sufficiency is key.
We encourage runners with trail and mountain experience, but this isn't an expedition reserved for the elite. TRIPPY TRAIL is open to determined adventurers ready to embrace the challenge and commit to their own safety and the safety of others.
To make sure every runner is prepared for the unique demands of this journey, we've put together a questionnaire. The first part is mandatory and focuses on real-life scenarios you may encounter during TRIPPY TRAIL. It tests your decision-making skills and readiness for the challenges ahead. The second part is optional but encouraged. It allows us to learn more about you and why you've chosen TRIPPY TRAIL over countless other incredible trail running events. Please complete it by 6 August 2027. We carefully review all responses. If your answers show that you might not be fully prepared yet, we'll invite you to a mandatory online briefing closer to the event. Besides the questionnaire, all runners need to send us the signed Runner Entry Agreement, a valid medical certificate and proof of travel health insurance covering emergency extraction (search & rescue) and repatriation.

We work with ticket stages to give us planning security and to give you the chance to save money by booking early. The last ticket stage closes on August 18th 2027.

The idea is to support people with tighter budgets and make TRIPPY TRAIL more accessible with the help of the entire ORBIT360 community. The COSMIC CARE TICKET is meant for everyone who cannot afford even the ticket for an annual income below 45 k EUR. This includes runners from outside the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), where average incomes are often significantly lower. If possible, consider leaving a donation at checkout to contribute to the COSMIC CARE FUND. Every donation will be matched by the organiser to help the fund grow quickly. The COSMIC CARE FUND will be filled by buyers who are able to leave a little extra support in addition to the normal entry price. If the COSMIC CARE FUND is not sufficiently filled, COSMIC CARE tickets will temporarily not be available for purchase. Any remaining funds in the COSMIC CARE FUND will be donated to The Generation Forest.

Life doesn't always go to plan. We want to be as flexible as we can, but most of our costs (checkpoints, venue, crew, accommodation) are due months before the event. So this is our policy:

Until 31 December 2026: 70 % refund
Until 30 April 2027: 50 % refund
From 1 May 2027: no refund, but you can always transfer your ticket to someone else.

Yes, at any time until 6 August 2027, two weeks before the start. Find someone who wants your spot, sort out the details between you and then let us know at info@orbit360.cc. We'll transfer the ticket to the new runner's name. The new runner needs to complete the mandatory part of the questionnaire and send us all mandatory documents before the event: the signed Runner Entry Agreement, a valid medical certificate and proof of travel health insurance.

Please keep our income-based ticket categories in mind when passing on your ticket. We trust you on this one.

COSMIC CARE tickets can't be transferred.

This is about the case where we have to cancel the event ourselves, for example because of severe weather, natural disasters, pandemics, official restrictions, strikes, war or anything else beyond our control. If you have to cancel your own spot, see "What if I have to cancel?". If we have to call it off, we'll do our best to find a new date and we'd love you to stay on board in this order: 1. take part on the new date, 2. if that doesn't work for you, move your spot to the next edition of TRIPPY TRAIL at the same price, 3. if neither works, we refund 50 % of the amount you paid. Just let us know at info@orbit360.cc within 7 days after we announce the new date. If we don't hear from you, your spot stays reserved for the new date. We're a small team and most of our costs are due months before the start, so thank you for helping us keep TRIPPY TRAIL alive. You're also welcome to donate your refund to the COSMIC CARE FUND.

Once the event has started, there are no refunds if it's cancelled, postponed or rerouted. The mountains make their own rules: if weather or trail conditions become unsafe, we may reroute or close parts of the route. Your safety always comes first.

We must ask you to provide a medical certificate signed and stamped by your doctor, confirming that you are in good physical health and able to undertake the demands of the event. It must not be older than 12 months on your start day. You can download the form in English, Italian or German after registration.

Yes. The mandatory kit exists for your safety and every item is based on real alpine scenarios. It includes, among others: ✔ Trail running shoes with a profiled sole ✔ Waterproof jacket with hood ✔ Warm layers, gloves and beanie ✔ Headlamp (MEGADOSE: two headlamps) ✔ Water capacity of at least 1 L ✔ First aid kit ✔ Whistle ✔ Emergency blanket ✔ 500 kcal emergency food ✔ Fully charged mobile phone ✔ GPX route on your watch, device or phone

We aim to host our events with as little negative impact on the environment as possible. One important pillar of our sustainability approach is the way participants travel to and from the event, so please come by train, bus or bike whenever you can. Flying is only okay if there is no overland option and the emissions of your flight have to be offset. By taking part, you agree to support and follow these travel guidelines. August 20th in the evening for MACRODOSE and MICRODOSE runners
Departure MEGADOSE: August 20th, 6 am
Departure MACRODOSE: August 21st, 5 am. Departure MICRODOSE: August 21st, 7 am
Finish: No cut off, but a finisher party for everyone on August 21st at 8 pm in Lago di Tesero.

Start and finish are at the cross-country ski stadium in Lago di Tesero. Right there you can stay in a MOUNTAIN CABIN (one bed in a twin room, 60 EUR per night) or a MOUNTAIN DORM (one bed in a 4-bed room, 45 EUR per night), minimum two nights, with bed linen and towels included and shared showers and toilets. Prefer your tent? The CAMPING FLATRATE is a one-time fee of 30 EUR. You can arrive up to two days before your start and stay until the day after the finisher party.

Yes, parking is right next to the start and finish. If you can, please come by public transport: the nearest train stations are Ora/Auer, Bolzano and Trento. From there, regional buses take you into Val di Fiemme to Tesero. From Bolzano you usually change twice. Please check the current connections before you travel.

You can leave your luggage at the start and finish at the cross-country ski stadium in Lago di Tesero. In case of a withdrawal, you will need to make your way back to Lago di Tesero to collect your belongings.

TRIPPY TRAIL is an adventure trail running event. The route bends the definition of trail running and participants might find themselves on a hike-a-run every now and then. There are many steep and serious up- and downhill sections involved and appropriate running or hiking skills are absolutely essential.

TRIPPY TRAIL will be a fixed route with mandatory checkpoints (Rifugios) to pass.

Yes, quite a lot to be fair. The checkpoints are one of the fundamental parts of the expedition. We decided to work together with the traditional Rifugios (high-elevation mountain huts) as they are the perfect location to recover, exchange stories and gather new energy for the next big, big climb. All Rifugios offer super delicious food at a reasonable price and most of them have overnight stay options (mostly only pre-booked).

Yes, we will provide return routes back to Lago di Tesero for everyone who will not be able to finish (for whatever reason). The return routes will be available before the event.

The PARTY PACE PATROL is a group of runners who stay in the middle of the field, delivering some slow-releasing dopamine and emotional support, just for that extra fun along the way. If you're dreaming of joining an ultimate trail running adventure like TRIPPY TRAIL but feel a little lost in the vastness of the unknown, whether it's running or sleeping alone or just being on your own, don't worry. We'll provide a mission-approved, inclusive experience that gives you the extra boost of security you need to go where only a few have gone before.

Just send us an email with a few words about yourself and why you want to be part of the Party Pace Patrol. We are looking for all kinds of runners who have experience in multi-day trail running events and are fairly confident they’ll finish TRIPPY TRAIL, no matter how tough the circumstances.

We’re a bit bored with the rigid "guidelines" of unsupported trail running races and we aren't even starting with ITRA points... For us, it's more about the experience and the community rather than imposing strict rules on runners. We want to encourage runners to spend time together and share this adventure.

We don’t want to impose unnecessary rules that make your life harder, the route is tough enough as it is. However, to keep things fair, we ask all runners to follow one simple rule:
No outside assistance.

Yes, all Rifugios serve delicious food at reasonable prices and many also offer cozy overnight stay options (mostly pre-booked needed).

If you prepare the route properly you will have no problem finding plenty of water and food. But remember, try to self-serve food for a day and refill your bottles whenever you can.
